An phríomhaidhm atá againn i nGaelscoil Ó Doghair ná oideachas lán-Ghaeilge a chur ar fáil do na daltaí go léir. Táthar ag súil go rachaidh a saol scoile i bhfeidhm orthu go dearfach le linne a tréimhse sa Ghaelscoil, agus go mbeidh cuimhní deimhneacha acu ar a saol scoile amach anseo.
Tá sé mar aidhm ag Gaelscoil Ó Doghair maitheas i ngach páiste a chothú agus a thabhairt chun foirfeachta agus gach páiste a chur ar thóir na maitheasa sa saol atá thart air/uirthi.
Is í an Ghaeilge teanga na scoile. Is trí mhéan na Gaeilge a ghlacann na páistí páirt i ngach rud ar scoil.

Gaelscoil Ó Doghair is a mixed, Irish language primary school. The school is under the patronage of the Bishop and reflects Catholic values.
Our primary objective in Gaelscoil Ó Doghair is to provide education through the medium of the Irish language to all pupils. It is hoped that the lives our pupils will be positively affected during their time in Gaelscoil and that they will have positive, happy memories of their schooldays in the future.
It is our aim in Gaelscoil to encourage the talents of our children and provide opportunites for growth and development.
Irish is the language of the school. It is through the medium of the Irish language that each child will take part in all activities in Gaelscoil.
